This role ensures that all farming activities are conducted efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The Chief Operating Officer leads a team of group managers and farm managers, driving operational excellence, productivity, and continuous improvement across all farms under the company's management.Key responsibilities include operational management, team leadership and development, financial management, natural capital management and innovation, key stakeholder engagement and WHS, compliance and risk management.The Person:We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following skills, experience and key attributes:Extensive experience in large scale aggregated farm operations management, with a strong understanding of dryland and irrigated cropping as well as livestock productionProven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large and diverse team across a geographically spread environmentStrong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and detailed financial reportingUnderstanding of and interest in, regenerative and sustainable farming practices and emerging agricultural technologiesDemonstrated practical understanding & commitment to legislative obligations including animal welfare, environment & work, health & safetyExceptional relationship management and high-level negotiations skillsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable approachResults-driven with a strong focus on operational excellenceStrategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunitiesEffective communicator, with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholdersBachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness or a related fieldA current Australian Drivers Licence and flexibility for regional travelThis is a rare and outstanding opportunity for somebody who is passionate about regenerative agriculture and environmental stewardship to work closely with the CEO in managing Impact Ag Partners Farming operations in Australia.
