About this opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead and manage our Human Resource Management Services. This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide expert advice and support across all levels of the organisation, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services in a diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the HR function, aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals. Deliver tactical and operational HR advice and support to management and staff. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that foster a positive workplace culture. Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals to enhance service delivery and employee engagement. Manage recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations strategies. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices in human resources. Collaborate with senior management to address workforce planning and organisational development needs. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within local government or a similar sector. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
