The key duties of the position include:Supporting the operation of the Australian Parliament, the Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) fosters trust in the use of public resources through independent advice, administration, reporting and assurance of work resources for parliamentarians and the travel resources of their staff.

Based in Canberra, this is a sensitive and high-profile role. The CEO is the accountable authority, managing IPEA and ensuring proper use of Commonwealth resources. The IPEA CEO will be an outstanding executive who provides strong strategic direction and takes responsibility for the governance, performance and leadership of IPEA. Bringing impeccable judgement and integrity, you will be an experienced senior executive with a proven ability to collaborate to achieve outcomes and drive cultural transformation.

We are looking for a senior leader with the following demonstrated attributes:

Exemplary leadership and people management at a senior executive levelExperience working with a Chair and BoardProven ability to collaborate across agencies and entities to achieve outcomesKnowledge of the working environment of the Commonwealth Parliament or other similar workplaceProven ability to drive cultural transformation within an organisationOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage constructively with varying and diverse stakeholder groupsThe highest levels of integrity and readiness to build authority and respect as a leaderA demonstrated ability and genuine desire to consider multiple options to resolve complex issuesHigh-level judgement and professionalismThe ability to cultivate and promote a highly inclusive and diverse workforce.NotesApplications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQ+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people are encouraged.
