Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) .
This executive role offers a unique opportunity to lead digital transformation within one of Queensland's largest public health services, ensuring the effective integration of cutting-edge technologies with healthcare delivery.Based in Brisbane's south side, the CCIO will spearhead digital advancements, enhancing patient access, clinical insights, and health outcomes.

Serving one of Queensland's most culturally diverse regions, we celebrate inclusivity and innovation in all aspects of our healthcare delivery.About the RoleThe CCIO is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the Digital Health and Information Division with responsibility for strategy, innovation, and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the Health Service Chief Executive, the CCIO will lead the integration of digital health solutions across the organisation, fostering collaboration between clinical and technological teams.Key responsibilities include:Strategic Leadership : Drive the Metro South Digital Health Strategy 2023–2028, aligning technology innovations with organisational goals.Operational Oversight : Manage digital architecture, clinical informatics, solution delivery, and data optimisation with an annual budget of $21 million.Stakeholder Engagement : Foster relationships with clinicians, staff, and external partners to enhance digital adoption and innovation.Governance and Risk Management : Implement robust information security frameworks and ensure compliance with state and national digital health guidelines.Capability Building : Lead workforce development initiatives to build a digitally skilled, future-ready health workforce.Innovation and Collaboration : Partner with tertiary education and research institutions to advance digital health initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.About YouYou are a strategic and visionary leader with extensive experience in digital health, clinical informatics, or ICT leadership.
You excel in fostering collaboration across diverse teams and driving innovation to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.To succeed in this role, you will have:Expertise : High-level knowledge of clinical informatics, ICT systems, and emerging digital health trends.Leadership : Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic initiatives in complex environments.Strategic Vision : A track record of developing and implementing transformative digital strategies.Collaboration Skills : Strong consulting, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications : While not mandatory, clinical qualifications and tertiary education in ICT, business management, or a related field are highly regarded.To learn more and apply:Laurence Sims
