About The Role
We are seeking a qualified experienced Chef or Cook to join our friendly team at STEVE'S GRILL @ THE CENTENNIAL.
We offer a quality Restaurant Menu and Fresh Pizzas, priding ourselves in using some of Tasmania's finest produce and delivering it with excellence. Experience with gourmet pizzas and cooking steaks is definitely an advantage.
For the right candidate, a full-time position is available with 30+ hours each week on a casual wage. Weekly roster during the probation period leading to full-time for the right candidate thereafter. Shifts range from mid-morning starts to evening finishes. Must be available days, nights, weekends, and split shifts if needed. Offsite catering may also be required.
The annual salary is $73,150 - $75,000.

Executing a tailored menuStanding in and taking control of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef/CookManagement of roster/budget control in line with the Head Chef/CookDevelopment of menu checklists to ensure consistencyUncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation, and safetyStrong communication skills and grace under pressureExcellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feetExceptional customer service skillsMaintaining a clean and tidy work areaEnsuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and bistro facilities at Steve's Grill @ Centennial, reporting to the Head Chef/Cook and Business ManagerResponsible for producing quality meals consistentlyQualifications and Experience

STEVE'S GRILL @ THE CENTENNIAL is located at the Centennial Hotel on the corner of Bathurst and Balfour Street, Launceston. Our steaks are sourced from the pristine pastures of the North West coast of Tasmania, while our seafood is sourced through local suppliers to provide you with the best quality seafood available.
We're famous for giving our customers great value for money and friendly service. Be assured, whatever you choose will be prepared fresh to order, seasoned, seared, cooked to perfection, and served to your table just right.
The restaurant is fully licensed and has a fine selection of local and mainland wines, seating approximately 130 people.
