Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Goondiwindi, QLD, 4390 Our Team is looking to hire experienced full-time Chefs to join our Townhouse Restrobar located in Goondiwindi.
Responsibilities and Duties: Preparing food for service Ordering and maintaining inventory of food and supplies Examining food to ensure quality during preparation and presentation Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Demonstrating different cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures Reporting to and following management instructions Facilitating special events and functions Ensuring that food is served simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion Complying with sanitation, hygiene regulations, and food safety standards Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Accuracy and speed Familiarity with the industry's best practices Preparing menu and costing items Preparing staff roster and costing the roster Labour Management Meeting food cost budgets and other KPIs Identifying any weaknesses in staff and addressing them through gap training Qualifications and Experience: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed Excellent time management skills Able to work well in a team Good organization and communication skills Benefits: Free food Professional development assistance Schedule: Shift work Supplementary Pay: Annual bonus Experience: Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred) Work Authorization: Australia (Preferred) Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
