Overview
We are looking to fill the role for a fulltime Chef with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team.
We are looking for a perspective candidate who is motivated, hardworking, and has a keen interest in kitchen operations.
Someone who is looking for an opportunity to advance themselves as they grow into the role and business.
The ideal candidate for this role will need to have a calm demeanour have experience in being part of a kitchen team.
There will be full training provided as you move through the kitchen sections and therefore the candidate will need to show a passion for cooking and further learning.
Responsibilities and Duties:
·
planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
may select and train staff
may freeze and preserve foods
Requirements for the role:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
· Must hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
· Must be able to work on weekends and a rotating roster
· Excellent communication skills
· Deliver excellence in customer service at all times
· Display a can-do attitude and cooperative behaviour
· Strong team player and be able to work withing a busy environment.

Pay: $73,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
