Chef

Chef required for a well-established Australian Business "Harsimran Pty Ltd" T/A "Babas Kitchen" located at 32 Station Street, Seymour VIC 3660.
Ideal candidate must have good practical experience working commercially as a chef (In an Indian Restaurant) and must have skills in preparing Indian curries.
Duties Include:
Monitor the kitchen staff during pre-cooking preparations.
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of food preparation, food presentation.Prepare specialized food items from the café menuPreparing food items keeping in mind the nutrition value of the items included.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per café's food recipes or personal judgment.Planning menus & recipes.
Estimating food and Labor costs and ordering food supplies.
Plan staff rosters.Discussing food preparation issues with Manager and other kitchen staff.
Time to time, train junior staff.
Managing the organization of all stock and stock control for the venue Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.Upholding food safety and hygiene standards Obey Occupational Health and Safety and Food Hygiene procedures.In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package of $74,000 plus Super and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your career.
Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery OR Diploma of Hospitality) and with 2 years of practical experience working as an Indian CHEF will be prioritised.
Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, Lunch shifts & late shifts).
