Apna Pind Indian Cuisine is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, particularly in North Indian dishes, and will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals

Roles & Responsibilities: Develop and plan menus that align with the seasonal availability and customer preferences.Ensure labour costs remain within budget by optimizing staff performance and reducing overtime.Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards and maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service.Strategically freeze and preserve ingredients to minimize waste and optimize kitchen efficiency.Order ingredients and supplies in a timely manner to avoid shortages or overstocking.Ensure only fresh, high-quality ingredients are used in the preparation of dishes.Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure special dietary requests or modifications are handled properly.
Cook food using various methods like grilling, sautéing, baking, boiling, and frying, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques.Regularly update the management team on any food preparation issues, such as ingredient shortages, equipment malfunctions, or workflow disruptions.Address any operational issues that may affect kitchen efficiency or customer satisfaction.
Ensure that food cost percentages align with budget targets to maintain profitability.Participating in the selection and hiring process to onboard skilled and qualified kitchen personnel and training the kitchen staff to perform their duties adequately. Skills and Experience: Certificate IV qualification is required.The candidate must have at least 2 years' experience in a busy restaurant.Friendly, positive & approachable attitude.To be energetic & motivated.Able to work under pressure. Salary Package: $70,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
