The opportunity
Le Jardin is a boutique, community-driven, French-themed café/ restaurant based in the heart of Main Beach. With seating for 120 people, our café is the meeting hub for many Main Beach locals and is an institution on Tedder Avenue. We pride ourselves on creating a place where our customers can come and experience a touch of France here on the Gold Coast, of which they enjoy returning to time and time again.
We are currently in the stage of expanding our business and thus our team - are you the passionate and highly motivated chef we're looking for to help us grow?
About you
You must be an individual who is competent and confident in a busy kitchen environment. Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, though takes a great deal of pride in their work.
You must be available to work flexible hours and, if necessary, long hours.
You will have a high attention to detail, with great presentation skills.
With our strong local following, an ability to reproduce menu staples to a consistent quality is key.
At least 2 years experience within a commercial kitchen will be looked upon favourably, and having a certificate I-IV is preferred.
Above all, we're looking for someone who isn't scared to work hard, who in return will be a be rewarded with a secure, long-term position. As a business, we recognise and value the efforts of our team and you will be well renumerated to demonstrate this.
