Fine Fibre Pty Ltd – Strathfield South NSWAs Chief Financial Officer, the role incorporates playing a pivotal role in managing financial operations across the group including working along with the board and CEO to drive growth initiatives. Responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, risk and people management. As such, a candidate with extensive financial literacy would be most suited for the application.Key Responsibilities:Ownership and development of the financial control and reporting environment ensuring accuracy across all financial related activities.Delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting including budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights.Strategic financial modelling and scenario analysis to drive commercial business decisions within the commodities markets.Optimisation of corporate tax and quarterly reporting.Understand the global accounting and legal frameworks the company operates in to optimise corporate outcomes.Uplift of corporate governance, including management of risk and compliance.Support commercial third-party arrangements including negotiations, tenders, and more.Management of offshore finance team members, and enhancement of offshore operations.Securing and fixing commodity trades against the International Commodities Exchange.Ideal Experience:Suitable tertiary qualifications (bachelor level or above) in accounting and finance.CA or CPA qualified or equivalent.Core fundamental finance background from a reputed chartered firm, followed by a proven career path through in-house finance roles.Strong financial control skills including hands-on delivery of financial control and reporting, tax management, cashflow and bank funding relationships, payroll audit.Strong understanding of international finance considerations and accounting treatments.Strong understanding of commodities market (Cotton trading) trading on the International Commodity Exchange (ICE).Commercial finance background driving the strategic growth agenda of a company, including management reporting and performance insights.Prior experience in a B2B sales and service environment is essential.Working with offshore partners.Proactive self-starter who is continually looking to enhance and optimise finance and the broader business.Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy of financial control, tax, and reporting outcomes is a given.Strong communicator who can part with a variety of stakeholders in Australia and offshore.This is a hands-on role that requires someone to be able to deliver across multiple aspects of finance and management, without the ability to delegate to a large team.Please note: Due to the significant involvement of our business in the fibre and garment industry in Bangladesh, ability to read and write in Bengali will be an advantage.
