They specialise in providing free counselling for young people aged 12-25, and their families, around alcohol and drug use.
They offer services both face-to-face in North Sydney at our Manly and St Leonards locations, and via telehealth consultations on video and phone.
Their vision is a society that supports people with problematic use of alcohol and other drugs together with any related mental health concerns, minimises related harms and empowers those people to live a fulfilling and healthy life.
Their purpose is to empower Young People, their families and communities to minimise the harms associated with their problematic use of alcohol and other drugs.
About the role: Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day management and overall performance of the organisation, delivering outcomes as prescribed in the strategic plan.
This role is based across the Manly and St Leonards offices, with travel to other locations as required.
Areas of responsibilities: Strategic and Operational Planning People Leadership and Management Operational and Financial Management Continuous Quality Improvement Strategic Partnerships Essential criteria: Experience as a CEO or equivalent in a small organisation in health-based community services, AOD and/or mental health Strong people and communication skills, coupled with a collaborative approach A track record as a pragmatic, flexible and resourceful manager and leader Experience in working with government funders and developing strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders Experience in general business and financial management Ability to maintain effective relationships with government and other funding bodies and the community Degree in social work, psychology, business or other relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution Experience with strategic and operational business planning and execution Ideal criteria: Relevant experience in the AOD or mental health sectors and a passion for the harm reduction and family-oriented philosophy of SDECC A connection to the North Sydney community How to apply: Beaumont People have been retained to recruit this position on behalf of SDECC.
