We are seeking a DIESEL MECHANIC to join our dynamic team in New Castle where your expertise will keep our vehicles on the road! As a vital member of our maintenance crew you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Fleet to repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with precision.

Conduct mechanical assessments for diagnosis and fault finding in machinery ensuring efficient repair, maintenance and servicing to keep our fleet on the road Service the entire fleet including trucks, trailers, dollies and motor vehicles in adherence to our Maintenance and Workshop procedures. Identify issues, recommend solutions and perform replacement of brakes, suspension components, steering systems and major engine components. Handle auto electrical work on all 12V or 24V systems Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues ensuring minimal downtime Order and replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring adherence to Quality Standards and Manufacture Specifications Develop and/or update preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce breakdowns Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and parts used ensuring compliance with company Policies & Procedures Adhere to all Safety protocols and Regulations always ensuring a safe working environment Required Skills/Expertise
A min. 2yrs experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on fleet vehicles/trailers etc. Australian recognized Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification Unlimited Australian work rights (no restrictions) Passionate about all things mechanical with an ability to think critically and creatively to help in diagnosing complex mechanical problems efficiently A meticulous approach ensuring every aspect of the machinery is thoroughly assessed A strong commitment to safety practices Good physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in various positions - essential Dedicated and reliable and a team player willing to collaborate with colleagues Who is Centurion?
