The Opportunity
Based at our busy Gasworks Shopping Centre, Dexus are seeking a Centre Manager. As Centre Manager you will lead the Centre team, ensuring the continuous ability to maximise centre financial performance, brand and operational efficiency.
You will make an impact by:
Leading all centre operations on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the needs of customers, tenants and investors are met.
Effective people management including leadership, coaching and developing of all staff within the team.
Oversee the centre budget to ensure the centre is maximising its net return and retail sales whilst ensuring risk management practices are applied to minimise loss exposure.
Ensure operating expenses are managed within budget. Review and prepare required monthly or quarterly reports as required.
Ensure the centre maintains a high presentation standard.
Ensure key lease and operational elements are adhered and maintained such as Arrears Management, Tenancy Schedule, Insurance and lease management.
Develop & manage the key relationships with all stakeholders, all Tenants and Retailers and internal and external customers and clients.
Manage relationships with retailers, customers, service providers and key stakeholders in this dynamic mixed-use precinct.
Monitor the Centre's performance with regard to the number of incidents and claims.
About You
You are a confident, commercial and relationship focused Centre Manager. A natural leader, you know how to engage and inspire a high performing team. You will bring:
Experience with a retail property management company, preferably as a Centre Manager or management role with a national retailer.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation including Retail Leases Act, OH&S Legislation, etc.
Strong business acumen, financial and accounting skills.
Experience using Yardi is an advantage, however, is not necessary.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and assume full responsibility of completion of tasks.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Leadership & ability to develop a high-functioning team.
