Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) Instrument TechnicianHervey Bay Surgical Hospital – Hervey Bay QLDWe are seeking experienced or willing to train Sterilization Technicians to join our team in our private surgical hospital.You will be responsible for the reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices in accordance with AS/NZS 5368. The role will also include the reprocessing of endoscopes for our endoscopy procedural room.You will participate in a 6-day week roster, with occasional Sunday shifts.Successful applicants must possess:Ability to adhere to infection control and sterilization standardsAbility to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines within a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environmentFlexibility with availability to work, e.g., days, evenings, and weekendsCondition of employment is that candidates will provide evidence of Vaccine Preventable Diseases prior to employmentCertificate 3 in sterilization or willingness to work towardsAbility to perform duties in all work areas of the department (decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and loans)Previous endoscopy reprocessing experience is not essential; willingness to learn is requiredGENCA certificate in reprocessing of endoscopes, or willingness to obtain upon employmentPlease provide your CV and cover letter with your application.
