About the Role Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is excited to announce an opportunity for a Health Promotion Officer specialising in Drug & Alcohol and HIV and Related Programs (D&A/HARP). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and significantly impact service provisions for the Central Coast community.
About You You have tertiary qualifications in behavioural/health/population health science or other related field, or suitable experience deemed by the Employer to be relevant to the requirements of the position.You have demonstrated skills and experience in community-wide behaviour change project management with ability to work with a range of stakeholders demonstrating sensitivity, cultural appropriateness and relevance to priority populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQ+ and CALD members of the community.You have highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct engaging presentations that exhibits an understanding of the target audience and ability to convey information and ideas in a clear and interesting way.Where You'll Be Working As a Health Promotion Officer, you will contribute to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the Central Coast Community through population-based prevention and education initiatives.
The role will participate in a range of initiatives addressing health priorities such as HIV and viral hepatitis prevention and treatment, as well as the risks and harms associated with substance use. It will also ensure that all projects and programs are aligned with the latest versions of relevant strategies and plans.
This full-time position operates Monday to Friday and is based at both Long Jetty Health Care Facility and Woy Woy Hospital, serving the entire Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
