About the role As a Category Lead- Capital Works and Services you will work collaboratively with stakeholders and effectively procure and manage supply performance for the CWS category of spend and risk to ensure optimal business outcomes for SA Water.
You will lead and deliver category management activities across the CWS supply chain category.
About Business Insights and Excellence The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, supply chain management, and performance optimisation to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.
In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.Manage the development and delivery of comprehensive category management plans within SA Water's Supply Chain Capital Works and Services Team.Maintain a high standard of procurement and contracts management across the capital works and services category for major projects.Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risk, securing continuity of supply across your extended supply chain.Lead complex procurement processes relating to major projects and initiatives, directing key commercial negotiations and ensuring true partnership is achieved with your suppliers.Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills.Act as a "go-to" person in the team, focused on using your knowledge to up skill the business and mentor less experienced staff members.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Demonstrated procurement and contracting experience with strong negotiation, risk management and supplier management skills.Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work autonomously.Strong analytical skills.Formal qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial or other relevant Qualifications i.e., MCIPS or equivalent experience (Desirable).Demonstrated strategic planning ability e.g., Category Management Plans (Desirable).To apply, click 'Apply'.
