We also sell dairy ingredients to many of the world's leading food companies and partner with food services businesses across the country to get dairy foods into chefs' hands.
About the Opportunity Due to an internal promotion, Fonterra are seeking a Category Analyst to join our Consumer Sales team on a 12-month contract.
Reporting to the GM Category & Channel Strategy, this role will support the category team and act as an interface between Fonterra Marketing and Sales to optimise performance and quality decision making through providing high quality data and insights leading to commercial outcomes.

Based at our Richmond office (with WFH flexibility), the Category Analyst will provide analytical support for Category Managers (x2), conduct business performance reporting, provide shelf Management Support, as well as focus on Data & Space Agency Relationships.
Key responsibilities will include: Assistance with data analysis as required by Category Managers - sourcing key consumer, category and customer insights that drive optimum business results at retailer category workshops and reviews.
Prepare and present monthly category analysis, trade summary results and support information to the wider business.
Develop and execute optimal shelf strategies that maximise the brand presence of Fonterra on retail shelves with the aim of improving profitability, retail sales and mix.
Data Agency Relationship Management, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery, correct segmentation for Fonterra and competitor new lines, and maintain Agency budget tracking, journals, and invoicing.
About You We are looking for a driven and inquisitive Category Analyst who has 2+ years' working experience.
Your genuine interest in category and FMCG more generally will arm you with the passion to excel in this position.
In addition to high levels of analytical capability, you will need a good grasp of the Microsoft Office Suite and ideally have some exposure to planogram software.
A confident communicator with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, you'll be able to hit the ground running and work collaboratively with our passionate and supportive team.
You will also have: Tertiary qualifications in marketing, commercial or other relevant discipline.
2 years' experience in FMCG, working in Account Analysts, Sales Finance Analyst, Territory Sales Manager or Agency roles.
Working knowledge of Nielsen is essential, whilst exposure to SAP will be highly regarded.
The ability to work within a cross functional team.
