Job Description In this role, you will support the Leadership team in ensuring successful food and beverage service in events, conferences and banquets. With a commitment to providing a high calibre of service you will possess natural leadership abilities and be able to motivate employees within this fast-paced environment.
About the role:
Responsibilities will include:
Attending to planning duties in the lead up to events such as attending event meetings, liaising with the Assistant Floor Managers in charge about event requirements and reading the event resume to ensure a complete understanding and knowledge of the event.
Ensuring all room sets, bars and back of house areas are completed within timeframes ready for service.
Supervising team members and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service
Hands on service during the events as required.
Assisting in the training and development of team members
Conducting event briefings prior to service with team members.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
Solid leadership experience in a hospitality or function environment, preferably from a 5-star establishment
Proven communication, leadership, time management and organisational skills
The natural ability to create a positive experience for our guests and a fun and energetic work environment for our teams.
A strong commitment and desire to providing consistent excellent guest service.
Proactive problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent presentation and style
Enthusiasm, energy and a "can do" attitude.
The ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
A current QLD RSA Statement of Attainment is essential.
Working experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Full time hours may be available during high event demand periods!
