$43.08 per hour + salary packaging options Full Time Permanent opportunity based in Tuggerah Supportive team environment, with learning and development opportunities $43.08 per hour + salary packaging options Full Time Permanent opportunity based in Tuggerah Supportive team environment, with learning and development opportunities About the role Our Clinical Care Program is aimed to provide greater access to mental health services for people living with complex and enduring mental illnesses and have a range of psychosocial needs on the Central Coast.
This program will be supported by engaging a range of mental health professionals to provide a suite of evidence based mental health services to people that would otherwise have little or no access to such services.
As an experienced Caseworker – Mental Health you will provide coordinated clinical care for people with severe and complex mental illness.
The main objective of the role will be to guide the care that will be provided to clients and work as part of a team of Specialist Lead and a Support Worker to liaise with local support services in the community and provide adequate casework support for each client through their recovery journey.
As part of your role, you will collaborate with GP's, psychiatrists, and other allied health professionals, as well as family members or support people to ensure that clients are able to move forward on their recovery plan with the support they need.
This is a permanent role based in Tuggerah, with a requirement to travel and visit clients on the Central Coast.

Key accountabilities: Contacting clients within allocated timeframe in line with the Program's needs.
Liaise with clients and develop clinical recovery plans.
Managing all aspects of the case management needs for the clients including holistic wrap-around supports.
Building relationships by developing a clear network of GP's and Allied Health professionals to ensure the ongoing success of the program.
Supporting Specialist Lead in implementing and adapting the program as it evolves.
Ensuring compliance with incident management, reporting and escalation requirements and that organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding and WHS are met.
Ensuring you have good working knowledge of mental health legislation and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree in a relevant area e.g.
: Mental Health Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Work, Health or equivalent.
Or Diploma qualifications with proven experience in Mental Health case work.
Experience working in a client centred, trauma informed and culturally specific way.
Experience working with patients in a similar capacity who demonstrate severe and complex mental health illnesses.
Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of current Child Protection, Crimes (Domestic and Personal Violence) Act 2007 and other relevant legislation.
Demonstrated networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in best practice audits with the ability to manage changing practices.
