The significance of this role is evident in the appointment of two teachers (1 point each) to work collaboratively to oversee scholarships, apprenticeship programs, career mentoring, equity schemes, liaising with Universities, TAFEs, Trade Centers, employers, and SCS to support vocational opportunities, collaborating with VET Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator for our Pathways program and transition to senior school, mentorship of students in Years 10, 11, and 12 and leadership of Careers Presentations and Careers Days at the College to inform staff, students, and parents of the changing demands of the workforce. This is a teaching position on a reduced load to effectively achieve the major accountabilities.As a Middle leader, the Careers Coordinator plays a vital role in living the Gospel values, leading excellence in teaching and learning, and supporting the pastoral needs of the students. The Careers Coordinator liaises with the Curriculum Coordinator and reports directly to the Assistant Principal.This full-time role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025.
