Your impact, with us As our highly valued Cardiac Physiologist, you'll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Based in St Andrews, you'll undertake day-to-day best practice delivery of non-invasive cardiac investigations. This includes, but is not limited to, performing standard resting 12-lead ECGs, the attach and analysis of ambulatory Holter, blood pressure and event monitoring, and supervision of exercise stress ECG tests. Helping to improve people's health and lives and shaping our organisation's future. You'll make a meaningful impact by:
Perform non-invasive cardiac investigations, including standard resting 12-lead ECGs, exercise stress ECG tests, attachment and analysis of ambulatory Holter, blood pressure and event monitor tests, assist with stress tests when required
Provide careful and accurate analysis of test results, ensuring that results are recorded accurately and promptly, and that relevant results are signed by the cardiologist as required
Provide assistance to all patients during their tests, showing professionalism, empathy and understanding
Maintain a current awareness of advancements in cardiac testing relating to ECG, Holter, blood pressure, event monitoring and stress testing and remain up to date with changes to or improvements in monitoring and analysis software
Actively participate in team bonding, team development and training opportunities.
What you'll bring To succeed in this role, you will have:
Completion of a Primary Degree in Health Science or related field, or a degree or Diploma in Applied Science. Those currently enrolled in a similar course will be given consideration
Previous ECG/Holter analysis preferred, but not essential
Experience in Health track electronic medical records preferred, but not essential
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
Excellent patient care skills with a demonstrated ability to show a friendly, sensitive and professional approach when dealing with patients of varying backgrounds and age.
