$37.18 – $39.22 per hour + Super + Salary Package
This position operates under the guidance of the Manager, Family Day Care (FDC) to provide support and coordination unit activities to the FDC programs.
Your duties will include but are not limited to: Develop, plan and implement Communities at Work model for FDC programs across the Canberra and surrounding areas. Coordinate the recruitment process of FDC educators. Arrange visits to educators' homes which are planned and purposeful, focusing on safety, quality outcomes for children and current early childhood practice. Work together with educators to plan and implement evaluation visits, keeping detailed records of visits, including observations, outcomes and goals. Apply well developed theoretical knowledge to care and education situations with respect to cultural diversity and gender equality. Work in a collaborative manner with educators to maintain business effectiveness, professional development standards, compliance requirements and safety protocols. Ensure all computer and paper-based records are maintained, up to date, accurate and securely stored in line with Privacy and Confidentiality Policies. Comply with WHS legislation, policy and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained. Develop and train others to understand awareness and implementation of health and safety standards. Develop and maintain effective communication/liaison and networks with families, schools, management, external agencies and the local communities. Implement marketing and promotional strategies in line with both marketing and business plans. Ensure adherence to relevant regulation and statutory requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the program(s) and the organisation. Assist in the facilitation of playgroups across the ACT and the greater capital region. Coordinate and maintain the waitlist for families. All other duties as required.
