Capability Manager (Learning & Development) – 51431 Sydney Full-time permanent Hybrid working model How will I help? You will be responsible for driving capability development and maximising workforce performance. This role acts as the product owner for capability development initiatives, working closely with business leaders, functional teams, and employees to identify performance gaps, design customised solutions, and implement strategies to enhance individual and team capabilities, ultimately improving employee effectiveness to achieve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning solutions, ensuring they meet user requirements and address performance gaps effectively with performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of capability development initiatives. Stakeholder engagement and collaboration Maintain high standards of quality in learning products, ensuring they meet user needs, adhere to best practices, and align with industry and group standards. Build strong partnerships with business leaders, functional teams, and employees to understand their performance needs. Contribute to the development and effectiveness of learning solution roadmaps and initiatives to ensure impactful results/outcomes for stakeholders. What's in it for me? What do I need? Required: Cert IV Training and Assessment, or equivalent (minimum) Depth of experience (5+ years) in performance consulting, capability development, or related fields Proven track record in designing, implementing, and delivering successful performance improvement and capability development initiatives Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and product ownership skills Knowledge of learning and development methodologies, adult learning principles, instructional design, and product management practices Familiarity with relevant tools, assessments, and technologies used in performance consulting, capability development, and product management. Desirable: Knowledge and experience in Financial and/or Banking industries and/or Professional Service Industries and/or Transformation Change functions e.g., business & technical project delivery Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as Education, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or Psychology What is it like to work there?
