About Us FOCUS Connect, formerly Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative, is a registered not-for-profit charity offering practical help to disadvantaged and marginalised communities. Our integrated service delivery system focuses on children, youth, families, and the aged, ensuring our services are both relevant and accessible.
About the Role As a Community Services Coordinator, you will oversee and manage services for individuals and groups experiencing or at risk of vulnerability. You will develop, implement, and evaluate programs, manage staff and resources, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and assess programs to meet community needsManage staff, budgets, and resources for effective service deliveryBuild and maintain relationships with community partnersMonitor and evaluate services, recommending improvementsEnsure compliance with legislation and policiesPrepare reports and coordinate new systems for enhanced service deliveryProvide supervision to staff and coordinate professional trainingParticipate in front-line work as neededSkills & Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time management and organisational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and other software systemsAbility to maintain confidentiality and work autonomously or in a teamKnowledge of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) ActExperience working with vulnerable families and facilitating programs like Tuning into Kids and Triple P (or willingness to obtain)Experience working with CALD communitiesExperience facilitating playgroups or parenting programsPrevious experience in a supervisory or mentoring roleHow to Apply Submit a cover letter to ****** with the subject line: Community Services Coordinator addressing the essential criteria along with your resume.
