The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer – Program Support to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the operations and functions of the PIRSA Biosecurity Division.
The position provides effective and responsive financial, administrative, business, and service delivery support for a broad range of services in the Division.
In particular, this role supports the Invasive Species Unit to ensure the ongoing, effective, and sustainable management of declared pest plants and animals.

The role contributes to the delivery of the agency's priorities by providing Business Support and advice across a range of core PIRSA business administrative activities and functions at the Waite site.

The role is responsible for delivery of customer service to a range of stakeholders, including but not limited to Biosecurity staff, the Dog Fence Board, industry partners, corporate workgroups, members of the public, and various service providers.
The Business Support Officer has the key responsibility of ensuring administrative services are managed efficiently while portraying a friendly and professional environment.

Special Conditions
Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
Requirements
Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive.
Out of hours work and inter/intrastate travel may be required.
You acknowledge your work, health, and safety obligations and our expectations.
The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities required by government agencies.
Remuneration
ASO2 - $58,709 min - $63,154 max per annum, plus superannuation
