The role of the Business Support Officer within the ODDG SPRD is to provide effective client focused confidential administrative, human resource, procurement and financial support services to the unit and will actively contribute to business support process improvement activities. You will be the first point of contact for all business services matters for the ODDG and will provide Human Resource and Financial advice to support management decisions.
This position may also be required to provide records management and support of Correspondence Coordination within Strategy, Policy and Reform Division (SPRD) as required and when directed by the Director, ODDG.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated:
High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with officers at all levels with integrity, tact, ethical conduct, confidentiality and ensuring client interest.Ability to provide efficient and effective administrative and secretariat support.Proven ability to work both in a team and autonomously and use initiative in the absence of decision-makers to establish work priorities and meet deadlines.Well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, for example, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to be adaptive, use initiative, establish priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Proven ability to apply detailed knowledge of policies and practices for finance, procurement, human resources and records management.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
