Business Manager – Riverside Christian College

Business Manager Riverside Christian College is a large co-educational P-12 Independent Christian School located in Maryborough on the beautiful Fraser Coast of Queensland. The College community includes 1,500 students both Onsite and enrolled in a significant Distance Education program.
The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the Executive Team as well as the Management Team of the College for the position of Business Manager. The successful applicant will report to the Principal and will work closely with the Principal and other Executive staff. The Business Manager is responsible for the overall financial, property and administrative functions of the College in accordance with policies and planning strategies and operational guidelines.
Key requirements for the position include: Eligibility, or working towards CA, CPA or MBA Status; Substantial experience in fundamental business areas such as accounting, finance, human resource management, industrial relations, economics, legislation and risk management; Sound business and administration skills; Sound financial and budgetary skills; An understanding of human resources (HR) requirements and regulatory industrial requirements; High level of managerial expertise; High-level competence in organisational matters related to supervising building projects and related activities; High-level understanding of computing systems and their integration in a business setting; The ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all College stakeholders. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong commitment to the ethos of Christian Education and a willingness to promote and support Christian values. Applicants must comply with Child Protection (Blue Card) and other requirements for Non-Government Schools in Queensland.
It is desirable for candidates to have experience in the financial and operational management of independent schools.
