This role is pivotal in leading the financial planning and forecast processes for the Australian business, providing critical commercial insights and reporting to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively across various functions.How You Will Spend Your DayBusiness PlanningLong Range Planning: Plan and coordinate the long-range planning process for the Australian business, ensuring alignment with strategy and input from all stakeholders.Annual Operating Plan: Lead the annual operating plan process, ensuring accurate capture and projection of sales, margin, headcount, and operating expenses.Quarterly Forecasts: Partner with commercial and function leads to prepare quarterly rolling forecasts and outlooks, projecting the financial outlook for the year.Risk Management: Identify, validate, and document risks and opportunities related to financial objectives.Sales Reporting and Revenue RecognitionSales Reporting: Ensure accurate sales reporting in SAP and BI tools.Rebate/Discount Accounting: Validate and ensure accurate accounting for rebates and discounts.Revenue Recognition: Comply with revenue recognition requirements and coordinate with the supply chain for accurate sales reporting.Monthly Flash Sales Report: Prepare and submit the monthly flash sales report to local leadership, APAC finance, and International Markets teams.Expense Management and Cost ControlExpense Monitoring: Provide function leads and cost Centre managers with expense reports to monitor performance against plans and forecasts.Monthly ReportingP&L Review: Review the monthly P&L before final submission to global teams.Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly sales, gross margin, and expense reports, including analysis of key variances to plan and forecast.Commercial Review Presentation: Prepare the monthly commercial review presentation and supporting materials.Business Cases and PricingNew Initiatives: Work with stakeholders to prepare and validate business cases for new launches and initiatives.Pricing Insights: Provide insights into product pricing and profitability.Pricing Committee: Coordinate the monthly pricing committee meeting, ensuring decisions are data-driven and documented.Sarbanes-Oxley and Control EnvironmentCompliance: Ensure accounting records comply with internal corporate policies, local statutory, and taxation requirements.Internal Controls: Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to Teva's SOX and Compliance Policies.Continuous Improvement: Drive programs to enhance control environment and operational efficiency.Team Management: Manage the rebates and pricing administrator, ensuring timely processing and accurate reflection of product pricing and trading terms in SAP.Objectives Alignment: Agree on annual objectives with the Finance Director, ANZ, and ensure team objectives are aligned.Development: Conduct regular meetings with direct reports, focusing on growth and development.System Optimization: Work with local and global colleagues to ensure systems (SAP, Hyperion, Integrated Business Planning) meet local business and financial reporting requirements.Stakeholder Management and EngagementEngagement: Proactively engage with stakeholders across the local and global business, including the Finance Director, ANZ;
