How will you make an impact?Working closely with our Business Development Managers, you'll be responsible for fostering and enhancing relationships with our valued intermediary distribution partners. By providing expert product knowledge, system training and support to both advisers and the intermediary team, you will directly contribute to the growth and retention of our intermediary channels.The opportunityRecognising the enormous value that financial advisers have in supporting the retirement outcomes of our members, we aim to make it easier for externally licensed advisers to work with Hostplus.As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for providing high level administrative and coordination support to the team's business development function, while supporting engagement, growth, and retention of external distribution partners through servicing, supporting, fostering, and enhancing ongoing relationships across a range of intermediated distribution channels and partners.Reporting to the National Manager, Intermediary Distribution, your primary functions and key responsibilities include:Build and maintain relationships with intermediary distribution partners (including their support staff) by supporting the Business Development Managers (BDMs) in onboarding and ongoing management of adviser relationshipsProvide expert product, system and internal process guidance, training, and support to distribution partners, including escalationsCross team collaboration to ensure adviser communications and collateral are up to date and effectiveCoordinate and manage outgoing communications and events related to distribution partnersProvide high-level, accurate administrative support, including preparation of weekly and monthly activity and KPI reports, data entry, compiling of documents and presentations, records management and assisting with distribution partner reporting, as required.Assist BDMs and intermediary distribution team with identification and conversion of opportunities for Hostplus growthRepresent Hostplus at industry conferences and other events as required.About you:We are seeking an energetic and self-driven candidate with experience and knowledge of financial planning, preferably within the context of intermediary distribution in superannuation, wealth management or related financial services.As the ideal candidate for the position of Business Development Officer you will:Have a sound understanding of the workings and operating models and practices of financial advisers and the broader intermediary environmentPossess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners, their support staff and internal stakeholdersTake a detail-oriented approach and expertise in product guidance and training for exceptional partner supportDisplay commitment to driving growth and implementing innovative strategies for streamlined processes and enhanced efficiencyOwn the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and dedication to continuous learningBuild strong and lasting relationships through the provision of exemplary customer service for all clients (internal & external)Consistently demonstrate effective time management, prioritisation, and organisational techniquesWhat can we offer you?Our employees are passionate about what we do and are proud to be part of an organisation which helps everyday Australians achieve a brighter future.
