Reporting to the Head of Sales - VIC and as part of the Victorian field sales team, this position will partner closely with both Regional Sales & Area Sales Managers to service sales growth in the Victorian market.
We are looking for a dynamic sales professional who is highly driven and technically competent in delivering sales objectives across Victoria through maintaining existing direct customer relationships and developing new business opportunities and market intelligence across various industry sectors including food and beverage, packaging, red meat, water, engineering consulting companies, and design houses.
Key Responsibilities:Drive sales growth and market share by targeting new business opportunities and expanding SMC business across Victoria.Work together with the Victorian field sales force to establish new customers, grow existing customers, and support them in promoting strategic products to grow market penetration and revenue.Focus on capturing end-user specifications for both local and global account customers in line with the corporate sales strategy.Develop market intelligence and insight into competitor products, markets, and strategies, using this information to capture opportunities.Meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets set by management.Build Field Sales technical capabilities through knowledge transfer and coaching via joint visitation, trade shows, and training events.About You – Do you have the following skills & experience?Our successful applicant will preferably possess the following skillset and demonstrated previous experience:
5+ years of experience selling mechanical or electrical engineered products essential and Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering preferable.A strong track record of B2B sales experience within large, international industrial organisations.Prior experience in the manufacturing industry, with automation knowledge highly regarded.Proven commercial and financial acumen, capable of interpreting market opportunities for sales forecasting.Experience in customer negotiations, including senior-level engagement.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to develop relationships at the executive level.Advanced proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.Excellent negotiation, influencing, and business development skills.Willingness to travel extensively and hold a valid driver's licence.This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and technically adept sales leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving business growth through strong customer relationships and team development.
