Business Development Manager - Southern RegionThe Business Development Manager (Southern Region) is a key member of Wavelink's newly formed team. Wavelink is a high-value, Australian-based technology distribution company that represents leading hardware and software vendors in the cyber security and networking space. In this role, you will lead our business development efforts in the Southern Region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive profitable and sustainable growth for our emerging brand portfolio. A key focus will be the operational technology (OT) aspects of our current portfolio.This is a Melbourne-based role and travel will be required across the Southern Region including SA, WA & Tasmania.As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales opportunities in the Southern Region for our Emerging brand portfolio. You will be required to establish relationships with key stakeholders within channel partners and vendor teams to support end customer engagement.You will manage and develop a business plan to meet and exceed annual sales targets. You will also create opportunities by working closely with our marketing department on campaigns and events, calling on and meeting with prospective customers, and identifying customers for solutions trials.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the sales account plan and strategy for the Growth team.Meet set sales targets.Develop channel plan in conjunction with vendor and internal sales teams.Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with identified channel partners to promote Wavelink's solutions.Collaborate with Technical and Marketing team members on sales opportunities.Present and demonstrate the solution portfolio.Maintain engagement with multiple customer stakeholders.Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecasting with our CRM.Collaborate with Reseller partners on RFP responses, end customer opportunities and other strategic initiatives.Skills & Attributes Required5+ years' experience selling cyber security solutions.Track record of success in meeting and exceeding targets.Experience in influencing development of sales and marketing programs, and execution of programs and strategy.Strong technical knowledge with the ability to understand partners' requirements.Superior negotiation and multi-tasking skills, ability to lead, review and execute multiple strategic projects with sharp attention to detail.Results-oriented with strong motivation to take ownership of the OT/IoMT business.High level of energy, drive and enthusiasm.Excellent communicator & team player with a 'can-do' attitude.Relationship with OT/IoMT resellers highly desirable.Experience selling OT specific solutions desirable.BenefitsWHY WAVELINK?For over 20 years Wavelink has been delivering local representation for global vendors, offering their technology solutions to local reseller networks within Australia and New Zealand.
