As part of the passionate & values-driven Sales & Customer Solutions team, reporting directly to the Channel Development Manager (Produce), your role as Business Development Manager (Produce) will be to grow the produce channel (Fruit & Veg) revenue with new customers and new platforms with existing customers in your assigned location (VIC & TAS).
The key responsibilities of this role include: Expand the Customer Base: Engage with potential clients through cold calling, industry research, and networking at events.
Your insights will help us understand market trends and customer needs.Manage the Sales Funnel: Use Salesforce to track opportunities, review progress monthly, and follow up on leads from our partnerships and marketing efforts.Extend the current Offering: Meet with key decision-makers, understand their requirements, and propose solutions that highlight the advantages of CHEP's products.Innovate and Grow: Explore new markets and applications for our products, driving growth through innovative supply chain solutions.What will ensure your success in the Role: A completed, relevant Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain, Agriculture/Produce or Business is ideal, not essentialSolid working history in a Sales / Customer-facing role, ideally within Fresh ProduceAbility to engage customers to accurately identify business needs/problems to solveAbility to close deals quickly and effectively with win/win outcomesAbility to engage with senior decision-makers and business owners, building trusted partnershipsBasic computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SalesforceSound commercial acumenAbility to articulate the features & benefits of a product and serviceSelf-motivated and able to work independently to achieve resultsAbout CHEP, a Brambles company As a market leader in supply chain equipment pooling, you'll be working with a company that is changing the way goods get to market.
