Revered by Architects, Designers, and Developers the world over, in alignment with a healthy trajectory of growth, the organization is now seeking a brand-new Business Development Manager for their NSW business and become an integral part of their next exciting phase of growth.
About the roleThe BDM develops, nurtures, and commercially leverages the relationship between V-ZUG and its customers and partners in the area of projects/commercial (multi-residential property developments) and retail appliances. This role is primarily focused on the Sydney market and customers headquartered in Sydney. The Project channel is the most significant part of this role, as a secondary focus there is also an expectation to maintain relationships with key retail partners and retail showrooms within the defined area. Additionally, the incumbent collaborates and supports V-ZUG BDMs interstate.
This role is responsible for identifying new prospects, order intake, invoicing, and post-sales activities, and follow-ups. To be successful, the incumbent should expand their network of builders, developers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders involved in the V-ZUG relevant specification process for property developments. The incumbent collaborates closely with the commercial divisions of V-ZUG's key distribution and retail partners. They initiate brand experience events for respective stakeholders and potential customers. Furthermore, the incumbent liaises with peers and relevant V-ZUG colleagues domestically and internationally to leverage and build on opportunities and relationships.
Responsibilities Takes full ownership of the sales cycle, from project lead generation, and order intake to invoicing and post-sales follow-up with the customer.Acquires and maintains a thorough understanding of prospects and relevant projects, intending to identify those where V-ZUG best adds value.Identifies and implements strategies and tactics to win the relevant projects.Collaborates closely with all internal stakeholders including Operations, Marketing, and Finance, by keeping them updated on projects' progression, particularly forecasting of products and closed sales.Manages executions and implementations of sales & marketing activities for optimal ROI, working in close tandem with marketing.Takes responsibility for managing key accounts and respective influencers.Responsible for keeping an adequate pipeline and converting it from prospect to client, to achieve defined targets for order intake and invoiced sales.Keeps the CRM system updated by entering new data swiftly and by CRM cadences.Maintains a strong and long-term relationship with multiple stakeholders.Maintains a professional business persona along with premium brand representation.Provides input to marketing to create and update sales and marketing materials.To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate: Ideally 5 years previous experience in a similar role and industry, and/or from luxury consumer goods, premium real estate/housewares, or similar.Business development, as opposed to Business maintenance. V-ZUG in Australia should be considered almost as a start-up, guiding them in their approach with agility, entrepreneurship, and a can-do attitude.This role is a blend of 'hunting' and 'gathering' – success will be equal parts of interpersonal (relationship-building and trust-installment) and defined business proposition.Never accepting Status Quo, with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities, and sometimes conflicts.Proven ability to lead from the front, installing enthusiasm, optimism, and commitment across the team and external partners.This role presents a unique and exclusive opportunity for the successful candidate to carve a real legacy within a highly prestigious brand, having a positive impact in an industry they know and love.
