Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager in Geelong to grow their Sea Logistics business.
Your role is pivotal in expanding their market presence and cultivating long-term customer partnerships across the Geelong region.
Utilising your deep knowledge of logistics products and industry trends, you will identify growth opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable business development to secure our future success.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain sector Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery to clients Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to stay ahead in the market Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management Requirements: Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry Strong understanding of logistics services, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently Strong analytical skills and ability to identify market opportunities Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office What We Offer: Competitive salary Opportunities for career advancement within a growing company A dynamic and supportive work environment If you meet the above criteria - please apply online now to be considered for this great new opportunity!
