About the Role: Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Location: WFH + South Wharf
As Business Development Manager, you will develop account plans, lead negotiations, manage client portfolios, build relationships, and monitor performance on the key customers.
The role and responsibilities will include:
Develop and grow the performances of a portfolio of Key Accounts in terms of target volume and/or revenues definedEnsure the elaboration of the ANL/CMA-CGM tenders for selected customer through coordination and permanent control between Tender team and the customerFollow up the performance in relation with the target agreed and become privileged contact for agency/customers for commercial (negotiation, dispute) and operational follow upPromote new maritime services and value-added servicesIn conjunction with the CCO of Oceania agency establish KPI's for the functional unitEvaluate and monitor the performance of staff against pre-determined performance standardsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, and/or commercial roles within the shipping industryProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and database managementExperience with SAP is highly desirableStrong foundational understanding of shipping operationsIn-depth knowledge of the shipping industryFamiliarity with statutory requirements and compliance standardsThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police Check (criminal history) as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.
