Business Development Manager

Our client is one of Australia's leading commercial flooring companies.  They have established a proud reputation as trusted providers of quality floor covering solutions for over 25 years. 
Our client provides expert technical advice, design, supply and installation of all types of carpet, vinyl and timber flooring that meets the rigorous demands of commercial facilities.  They provide the right flooring to suit each client's individual requirements.
In this position the successful applicant will be involved in developing new business and nurturing existing business relationships with their clients. Most of the work will be around the Melbourne region but may also include into Sydney and Brisbane.
Responsibilities will include: Prospecting and taking queries from potential clients with the overall goal of generating & maturing leads to be passed off to your sales partnerScreening and qualifying potential business through cold calling, emails & LinkedInAttending networking events such as BNIEffective use of CRM and various in-house tools to manage your leads and dataAbility to 'think outside the square' and generate your own leads To be considered: Previous experience as a BDM in both developing new business and retaining relationships with existing clientsExperience in the flooring industry (preferably commercial)A proven track record of going above and beyond in exceeding targets and KPI'sExcellent communication skillsGood computer skills, experience using CRM systemsA valid drivers license and not at risk of losing it What our client offers: An attractive salary between $100k - $120K + super based on experienceCompany vehiclePotential of bonuses to be negotiated on exceeding targetsPermanent full-time employment with a well-established company in the commercial flooring industry
