HID Global's Extended Access Technologies Business Area is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our RFID sales efforts in the ANZ region. This role demands a hunter mentality—someone who is proactive, driven, and capable of evangelizing HID RFID products and solutions across key markets. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in promoting and driving strategic RFID initiatives, including our HID Mobile Access. You will leverage your expertise to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, winning new logos, and driving significant growth and customer satisfaction. This position is critical for expanding our market presence and achieving our strategic objectives.
As our Business Development Manager, you'll support HID's success by: Strategic Market Development: Craft and execute innovative business development strategies to penetrate and expand within key end-user accounts in the ANZ region. Market Evangelism: Act as a passionate advocate for HID RFID solutions, including our HID Mobile Access, educating potential clients on the transformative benefits of our products. Customer Insights: Deeply understand and analyze the business models and decision-making processes within target markets, including Banking, Education, and Commercial Real Estate. Sales Achievement: Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure alignment and success, drive new business with existing clients, and consistently win new logos to exceed sales quotas. Collaborative Integration: Work closely with internal technical and project teams to facilitate seamless transitions to future technologies, ensuring customer needs are met. Educational Leadership: Conduct compelling educational briefings and training sessions to establish HID Global as a "Trusted Advisor" in the RFID space. Cross-Functional Engagement: Interface with other departments and business units to support end-user goals and align with HID Global's strategic objectives. Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth product knowledge, focusing on the benefits and future roadmap of HID RFID solutions. Industry Presence: Represent HID Global at key industry trade shows, meetings, and events, actively seeking speaking and presentation opportunities. Performance Reporting: Provide timely and accurate monthly reports on business development activities, product mix, delivery timelines, and revenue contributions. Marketing Collaboration: Partner with marketing to develop and implement impactful end-user tools, such as whitepapers, brochures, web content, and speaker engagements. Understanding and experience with the end user corporate culture, environment, and decision process within the Banking, Education and Commercial Real Estate markets. Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategic initiatives with end users, resulting in sales growth, with previous experience in end user management. Experience with use cases such as Physical or Logical access control a plus, as well as knowledge on mobile centric digital transformation. Excellent organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills with proven teamwork execution at a senior level. Good reasoning ability to investigate and analyze information and draw relevant conclusions. Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results. Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and being able to deal with complexity and ambiguity. Good listening skills and ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations. Demonstrated effective communication including written and presentation skills. Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce.com) usage and digital tools. Your Experience and Education include: Bachelor's degree in business or technology preferred. 5+ years' experience in Physical Access Control, RFID, or related technologies. 5+ years of related vertical markets and business development experience. Language Skills Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate and present effectively as a "speaker" via web-based presentations and in face-to-face meetings with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Computer Skills Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc. Work Requirements Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems. Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
