Business Assurance And Controls Manager

Permanent opportunity to join a leading banking company in a key assurance and controls position.
Role PurposeThis position will operate as a dual role, serving the Line 1 Risk support for the portfolio, and assisting in end-to-end value chain oversight and accountability. The position will involve supporting and contributing to value chain risk assessments, risk-related change management, controls design, general assurance advice, and significant stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and participate in Risk Management Forums, presenting insights and specialist content.Facilitate workshops and develop risk solutions across multiple portfolios.Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders to improve risk and control processes.Analyse and report data to provide valuable insights.Provide support for control design and compliance across the value chain.Help integrate and implement key programmes of work and respond to internal audits.Maintain and manage risk data quality in Non-Financial Risk Hub.Oversee risk profiles, treatment plans, and regular risk reviews across the value chain.Advise on change risk assessments and risk management decisions.Support development of remediation plans and effective controls.Identify opportunities to automate and simplify risk controls.Key Requirements for the Role:Strong experience in Customer Resolution & Remediation (CR&R), retail distribution, and product lifecycle management.Background in risk management, compliance, or internal/external auditing.Experience with end-to-end oversight of value chain process.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop effective risk management solutions.Skilled in using data and analytics to drive business decisions, design reports, and write risk submissions.A customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of how risk management impacts daily operations.Knowledge of relevant regulatory guides (RG 272, 277, 78).Willingness to challenge the status quo and bring innovative ideas to improve risk assurance.Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across the value chain.If this position is of interest to you, click Apply Now or contact Jack Green at ****** for more information.
