Location: Canberra, Australian Capital TerritoryType: ContractJob #17176About the Role Our federal government client is seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Analyst. The BA role will be instrumental in driving project success by capturing business requirements, analyzing processes, and facilitating communication between technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.Develop and propose solutions that align with business objectives.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of IT projects.Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and recommend improvements.Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit stakeholder requirements.Produce high-quality documentation including business cases, user stories, and process flows.Support the change management process, ensuring alignment with project goals.Assist in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure solutions meet business needs.Highly Desirable Criteria Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT-related projects.Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.Strong understanding of both business processes and IT systems.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.Desirable Criteria Experience with business process modeling tools.Familiarity with project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).Experience in a government or public sector environment.Relevant certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, BABOK).Skills and Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and work under tight deadlines.High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Visio, and other business analysis tools.Knowledge of IT systems, software development lifecycle, and business process improvement.Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity for professional development and certification support.Work-life balance with flexible work arrangements.Collaborative team environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Access to various learning and development opportunities.Contact Details For a confidential chat, please contact Raisa on 0437 318 *** or via email at ****** and we would be more than happy to provide you with additional information and assist in the application process.
