Requirements Job Overview : Senior Business Analyst professionals articulate and document business requirements and elicit high level requirements and capture business needs.
They work to understand how the agency functions in order to achieve its purpose and goals.
This involves understanding the agency's capabilities required to deliver its services to customers and stakeholders.
They develop an understanding of the current state of the agency or identifying future business needs in order to meet the agency's purpose.
Business Analyst staff seek to define and validate solutions that meet business needs, goals, or objectives.
Senior Business Analysts analyse and integrate information provided by a large number of customers, staff, IT professionals, executives, customers and external stakeholders.
They are responsible for understanding the core needs and requirements of stakeholders and the agency.
They may also work to facilitate communication between business units.
They often play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology or business activities and may serve as a translator between different stakeholder groups.
Working under the broad direction of senior staff, they operate with a significant degree of independence, with decision making highly dependent on their own professional judgement and consideration of wider agency implications.
Primary Technologies • Archer IRM - Request and Incident Management System (RIMS), Elastic & Kibana Data Correlation Engine, Turium Zebra - Manage My Team (MMT), Understanding of the Australian Government Digital ID System), Archer IRM myGov Incident Response System Mandatory Criteria • Demonstrated ability to co-design and define the vision for the digital service in a cyber security, fraud management or digital id context.
• Demonstrated ability to document key business requirements, process maps, feature descriptions, data models and role-based access models, and feature backlogs.
• Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into technical requirements and effectively negotiate and communicate with technical resources to develop technical solutions that meet business intent.
• Work closely with end users to run user acceptance testing sessions, user training sessions and user feedback sessions.
Weighted Criteria • Experience working in the Australian Government Digital ID System (AGDIS) or myGov cyber security and fraud incident management.
• Candidate should display a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, actively seeking opportunities to enhance processes and user experiences.
• Candidate ability to demonstrate exceptional problem-solving capabilities, showcasing a structured approach to identifying challenges and developing practical solutions that align with the project delivery and organisation's strategic goals.
