What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Bridges to join our dynamic team in Perth, Western Australia. The WA Bridges Group assists clients within transport infrastructure projects across all phases of bridge assets' life cycle, contributing to a wide variety of initiatives both in WA, nationally, and oversees, with the flexibility to meet the many needs of your career, life stages, and location preferences. Our client base in WA is diverse, ranging from government entities to resource clients and contractors.
Working with an energetic and successful team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in the following:
Structural analysis and calculations, including preparation of sketches for drafting, for new bridge design, refurbishment design and load ratings. Planning, managing, analysing and understanding the scope of work for a variety of projects. Assisting with bridge inspections. Working on projects in a variety of locations to a range of client standards. The opportunity to learn from industry leading specialists. Support on our journey to achieve professional accreditation. What you will bring to the team:
Proven experience in bridges work and knowledge of the Bridge Design Code and relevant Australian Standards would be beneficial. Proficiency in Midas Civil and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design software packages. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient ability to create and maintain solid working relationships. Attention to detail with problem solving skills and flexibility for changing priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. Embrace our shared commitment to safety in all aspects of our work. 5-10 years of professional experience in structural design.
