Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full time~ A rare opportunity to join the crew at Balter and produce top-notch delicious quality beer ~ With enjoyment.About the roleYou'll be responsible for leading the brewing and cellar team to create various styles of beer and ensure that quality is top-notch. You'll always be striving to improve and push the boundaries to ensure that people have the best beer experience possible. This is done with passion, hard work and supporting your team.You'll be working with our excellent team of brewers, overseeing training and upskilling, while championing high safety standards across the brewery.Our schedule works on a 4 days on 4 days off rotating roster, with an additional training and team day on a 5th day twice a month. This means you must be available across 7 days and willing to work shifts including early mornings, late evenings and public holidays. In the busy period we roster a night shift, so please only apply if you would consider working overnight from time to time.Some stuff you'll be doingRostering the entire brewing and cellar team to ensure production demand is metTake the lead to improve and implement WHS procedures to identify learnings, hazards and risk assessmentsLead and direct hygiene related activitiesMaintain and monitor brewery consumables and stock levels, raise PO's, and 5S all areasTroubleshooting main causes of downtime across brewing and servicesEnsure all data and systems processes are performed effectively, while looking for ways for improvementLead daily team meetingsKnowledge and support in Cellar operations include dry-hopping, yeast offs, yeast harvesting and propagation, beer transfer, botec, CIP, centrifuging and carbonationEnsure all SOP's are completed, updated and followed using document controlBrewing wort to our specifications on automated and semi-automated systemsParticipation in sensory sessionsCompletion of all necessary paperwork and documentation including brewing records in NetsuiteAdhering to and keeping track of the brewing scheduleDriving a forklift (occasionally)Support the Brewing and Cellar Operators with the agility to backfill to cover leave or training with an element of 'on call' as requiredThe perksFree beer (yes, the rumours are true)Weekly BBQCoffee machine for those late-night shiftsAwesome friendly crewSweet merchAbout youPreferably you have 7 years' experience in all brewery operations, and a recognised brewing qualification – IBD or similar.
