About the Role: As a Boilermaker, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining operational efficiency and longevity of the products we manufacture.
You will show up each day with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to helping ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Perform fabrication duties and welding techniques including, but not limited to, GMAW, FCAWAbility to pass an AS1554.1 weld tests to the above techniques - if requiredAccurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Ensure measurements and components meet required tolerances.Undertaking materials handling / processing and associated tasks with the emphasis on Safety, Quality, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, delivery and Environmental concernsParticipating in any required site and training service provider learning, training and skill developmentEnsuring compliance to ISO9001 and all Bradken Quality policies and procedures and participate where required in any associated Quality auditsAssist and work with maintenance and engineering personnel where requiredCoaching and mentoring apprentices and junior personnel as requiredSupport the Fabrication Shop with any additional tasks as required.About You: You will have the enthusiasm and self-drive to work to the highest standard.
You will champion safety, mentor less experienced staff, and help deliver great results.
You will also have:
Formal trade qualification3 years' experience in a mechanical trade within a manufacturing environment (preferred)Knowledge of safe working proceduresSound numeric reasoningAbility to communicate in EnglishKnowledge of process improvement techniques (desirable)Why join our team at Bradken?
