This position will report directly to the Manager of Billing and Practice Management Systems and will provide national support to the whole firm.The RoleWe're seeking someone with experience in billing processes to manage the full lifecycle of eBilling for our national firm. In this role, you will be required to: Monitor and audit the opening of new matters for compliance with eBilling guidelines;Create matters in eBilling systems and assist with budgets;Create, review, and manage timekeeper rates in the eBilling systems;Review time and disbursement entries on prebills;Upload invoices to eBilling systems, and monitor and manage their progress through to approval;Review deductions and make appeal recommendations to fee earners;Track progress of invoices;Stay up to date with clients' evolving outside counsel guidelines to serve as an expert to fee earners;Build eBilling vendor relationships;Assist the eBilling Manager with implementation of new eBilling systems, client outside counsel guidelines, and service level standards.The Successful Candidate:This role will suit a candidate with the following:Previous experience with legal billing/eBilling processes and systems;Previous experience using Aderant Expert software;High level of initiative, proactivity, and a willingness to take ownership of the eBilling lifecycle;Excellent attention to detail with good numeric, analytical, and problem-solving skills;Good Excel skills;The ability to build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders;Knowledge of e-billing file formats (LEDES), UTBMS codes, and eBilling protocols would be advantageous.We understand that you may not have all of the experience mentioned above, however if you have a background in billing, accounts, or as a legal secretary, a general understanding of electronic billing processes, and a keen interest - we will provide full on-the-job training.We are open to full-time and part-time applicants for this role in either Brisbane or Sydney as we have offices in both locations.The Benefits:Barry Nilsson offers a broad range of benefits including:9.5 day fortnight – whilst still receiving full pay;Annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility criteria);Our health and wellbeing program 'BN Well' which includes free EAP services, an annual health and wellbeing day, and health and wellbeing allowance;Structured mentoring, as well as internal and external training and education;Up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents;A friendly team with an 'open-door' policy.How to ApplyIf you would like to apply for this opportunity with the firm, click the 'Apply Now' button and submit your application via our online careers site.
