About the Role This opportunity is on a Lifestyle Roster 5d4x5d5x4d5x day shift only.
Reporting to the Superintendent Processing Services, the Supervisor Civil Services is a residential-based role at Newman Operations working on the lifestyle roster.
The Civil team maintains roads, drains, car parks, and other processing plant infrastructure across the operation.
This role would suit someone looking to widen their skills, knowledge, and network as a leader at BHP, enabling them to take the next step in their development.
The Civil Supervisor will be accountable for: Providing supervision and leadership of the Civil Services team, to safely and cost-effectively execute the requirements of the MN62 planned work; Managing approved service contractors; A customer-focused approach to our work; Providing leadership assistance to other Processing Services teams as required; Utilizing influencing skills in order to develop key relationships and drive outcomes.
About You As the successful candidate, you will ideally possess the following: An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability; Previous experience with mobile equipment such as loaders, excavators, water carts/HR truck operations, and graders desired but not essential; Prior experience in a people leadership role is highly regarded; The ability to inspire people to engage and be part of a high-performing team; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively; Sound knowledge of the Contractor Management Framework; Sound knowledge of Risk Management systems and processes; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Experience with 1 SAP is essential.
