Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceAssist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful wayServe all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetingsHave full knowledge of beverage listsHave full knowledge of all menu items being servedSet tables according to event order, clients' specifications and Fairmont StandardsSet rooms for functions that have food venues requiredFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assignedQualifications: Previous experience in the culinary field requiredPrevious service experience an assetPrevious point of sale system experience an assetExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible and reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesSmart Serve Certification requiredBartending experience is an assetBilingual is an assetSchedule flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays)Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftMust be able to lift heavy trays (8 plates)Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending stairs and rampsFairmont Château Laurier is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
