We are seeking experienced AWS Cloud Engineers, with strong familiarity in development methodologies and infrastructure automation, to join our well-respected Cloud & Infrastructure Team.
This role will be dedicated to the support of a very large, well-known Australian institution, for whom your talents in innovation, embracing of new technologies, problem-solving and communication will allow you to influence your on-going deliverables.
Essential Job Functions Contribute to the timely delivery of Cloud Infrastructure & related solutions.
Participate in Cloud Infrastructure implementation reviews.
Help identify and resolve operational & project challenges.
Collaborate with management on team objectives.
Basic Qualifications Must be physically based in/around Melbourne, Australia.
Must have 6+ years of overall experience of as Cloud engineer, preferably with 5+ in AWS.
Must have 5+ years of experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
Must have 3+ years of experience in Service Mesh (ISTIO or CONSUL).
Strong experience in Linux administration & scripting.
Exposure to Infrastructure tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Strong experience in CI/CD, preferably with Jenkins or Harness.
Strong programming skills in Python and Groovy.
Familiar with utilising GitHub for the aforementioned management & coding tools.
Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to assess and implement new technologies and processes.
An open mindset and proven ability to innovate and influence.
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
Other qualifications Exposure to DevOps & Agile.
Exposure to Monitoring and Logging tools such as Splunk.
Work Environment Office-based.
May require evening or weekend work.
