This roster is 7:7 and a 12 hour day. This role is a residential position within the Parkes local area.
About the role This position is within the Asset Management Department reporting to the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Team Leader. You will work in a supportive team environment in our fully equipped Underground workshops, performing planned maintenance, conducting breakdown repair, and undertaking planned vehicle inspections in both Production and Development underground mining work areas. Ensuring work is carried out to best practice standards and maintaining Zero Harm operations.
Ensure the MEM fleet maintenance is carried out in a professional and efficient manner following sound workmanship standards focused on quality of repair.
Full use of site work management systems capturing all required work order repair detail, material usage and defect reporting data.
Communication with the MEM Team leaders and Leading hands around planned maintenance changes as they arise and updating of planned maintenance documentation as required.
Perform quarterly and heavy vehicle inspections as required to ensure the standards stipulated for vehicle condition and performance at NPO are upheld.
Ensure housekeeping in all responsible work areas and when maintaining the mobile equipment fleet is maintained to the highest standard.
All maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with NPO site safety standards and procedures ensuring zero harm.
About you Currently reside within the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes/Forbes or surrounding local government area.
Minimum of Five (5) years post trade experience in a similar role within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Previous experience troubleshooting and technical diagnostics of underground equipment.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Strong commitment to safety as a way of work.
Current "C" Class Australian Drivers Licence.
