About the Opportunity This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The Senior Facilities Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance, safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of the organisation's facilities. This role also supports the Administration function and ensures that all facilities are compliant with regulatory standards, well-maintained, and conducive to the organisation's operations.
Initially this role will be located at our Osborne office and will be responsible for supporting all facility administration for our new location in the CBD, you will then be permanently based from the CBD office with working from home options available.
Responsibilities Comprehensive understanding of both administrative and technical aspects of facilities management. Ensure the establishment of facilities to ensure they are well-maintained and operational; manage assets and condition assessments; establish/coordinate routine and emergency maintenance. Ensure facilities comply with all safety and regulatory standards; conduct regular facility safety audits. Establish and manage relationships with vendors and contractors; oversee contract negotiations and performance. Provide administrative support for facility and related projects; develop facilities operation procedures; maintain accurate records and documentation. High level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. About you Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations, Contract Management, or a similarly related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, or a similarly related role. Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, including establishing regimes that ensure maintenance, safety, and compliance is completed in a timely manner. Strong understanding of shipbuilding/defence sector, through work experience is highly desirable. Excellent organisational, scheduling, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in using facilities and asset management software and tools. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
